Hey Seniors! Remember that the SD Free Application Period and the MN College Knowledge Month opens October 1st! SD Public Colleges/Universities have free applications during the months of October and November and many MN colleges have free applications during October, so this is a great time to get those college applications submitted!

Any high school student (especially juniors & seniors) and their parents are invited to attend to get information about available financial aid for college/technical school and how to apply for it! This morning our homecoming royalty went to Lake Benton Elementary to join their pep rally. The kids cheered loud and made some awesome posters, which we have hung around our school. The 5th grade class remains the reigning champs as they won the victory cheer again this year. Thank you, LBE, for a fun morning filled with Elk pride!

If you ordered a homecoming t-shirt, they will be delivered to the school on Tue, 9/30. Shirts will be given to your student to bring home, or you can stop by the school starting on Wed, 10/1 if you are a community member without a student enrolled at school.

This year, the elementary is planning to recognize staff members with an award called "Pride of the Herd." The goal is to give our amazing teachers and staff an outlet to celebrate each other. It’s a peer-to-peer recognition that shines a light on elementary staff members whose actions make our school stronger, kinder, and better for everyone. This years first honoree is Mrs. Anderson!
