Elkton Public Schools Kindergarten Screening (for students who will be entering Kindergarten Fall 2022 and have not been in the Elkton Preschool/Jr. Kindergarten program) will be held on April 6th. The screening will take 20 minutes. During this time, the Preschool teacher will do an informal assessment with the student while parents will have an opportunity to meet with the Kindergarten teachers and register their child for Kindergarten. Please call the school, 605-542-2541, to make an appointment for your child's screening. Students who are currently enrolled in the Elkton Preschool/Jr. Kindergarten class do not need to be screened. Parents who live outside of the Elkton School District may apply for open-enrollment for their child when at the screening.

Cory Greenwood visited Elkton Monday and shared his "Your Story Matters" message with 7th-12th graders. Cory's message focused on encouraging students to overcome obstacles, seek out mentors to "be their harness" in tough times, and to be willing to let go of the things that they hide behind to be their true selves. Thanks to Cory Greenwood for a powerful message for our students!
