We proudly announce that Mrs. Rikki Delaney, 1st grade teacher, is the 2024 Elkton School District Teacher of the Year! As stated in a few nominations, “She is a life-long learner and excellent decision maker who keeps up with the research in best practices and is excellent in translating research into practice” and “She puts the needs of all of her students first. has independently worked on her professional development by reading books about specific areas she feels she could use further improvement, like understanding the why to different children's behaviors. She stays connected with the parents of her students consistently, reaching out with updates on their children. Any first grader would be lucky to have her as their teacher.”
Thank you to all who nominated a teacher for the Elkton School District 2024 Teacher of the Year.
Seniors/Parents--Please be aware that if you have filed your FAFSA and it says it is "In Review" this means it has been submitted. With the new FAFSA form, things are delayed and later this year than in the past. Students who have submitted their FAFSA should expect to receive an email in mid-March or later telling them they have a FAFSA Submission Summary ready to review. See links below for additional information about "In review" status and the Submission Summary. Remember, if you will need financial aid (grants, loans, work study) for college or tech school and you have not submitted your FAFSA yet, now is the time! Contact Mrs. Yackley if you have questions!
