Reality Check today for the Elkton and Sioux Valley seniors. Thanks to all the businesses that came to help our students get information about the costs of "adulting" and thank you to PTO for helping provide some fruit and snacks to go with our lunch and to the janitors for getting us set up!





The marching band competition on Friday, October 4th will be live-streamed on the Chester Area School Facebook page. Tune in around 10am if you want to watch our bands. The JH band is second in the parade, the HS band is number 15.

Happy to see a number of juniors, seniors, & parents at the financial aid info meeting Monday evening! Copies of the handouts will be provided to seniors and links to the presentation will be posted today to the seniors' Class of 2025 Google Classroom as well as on Mrs. Yackley's website. Contact Mrs. Yackley if you have any financial aid questions and watch for information on a FAFSA Fill-Out Night event coming later this fall!
Tailgate Supper Friday October 4, at the Garretson Athletic Complex from 5:30-7:00 prior to the FB game vs Elkton-Lake Benton. Walking Tacos and Drink, or Brat, Chips, and Drink for a free will donation, with all proceeds going to the Garretson Community Fire Department.

Rylen, Blake, Brooklyn, Maya, Keira, and Andrew were nominated by staff for Elkton High School's DAR Good Citizen Award for demonstrating the qualities of a good citizen (Dependability, Service, Leadership, Patriotism). Seniors voted for which student they felt most exemplified these qualities and the winner was Blake! Congrats to all the nominees and good luck to Blake as he competes for a scholarship from the DAR!

Remember that school dismisses at 2:15 PM today for conferences.
7-12 Teachers will be located in the gym for conferences. Elementary Teachers have scheduled a time with parents to meet. Please remember that teachers have supper scheduled from 6 PM until 6:30 PM and will be unavailable at that time.
We encourage everyone to stop by the lunchroom for our spirit wear rummage sale. Items will be marked anywhere from $1 to $5.
