We would like to take the time to congratulate the 2025 Elkton School District Teacher of the Year, Robin Hemmen. As stated in a few nominations, “Mrs. Hemmen is a very organized teacher and knows her material very well.” and “She thoroughly speaks about how to do things and repeats the steps of a problem in an even bigger detailed picture than before to help students. She takes care of and respects students and the parents of her students. She is always friendly with staff members and is overall an amazing teacher, even after 20 years.
Mrs. Hemmen has been employed as a Math teacher in the district for 24 years. She is now eligible to apply for the Regional Teacher of the Year.
There were many great nominations by teachers, students, and parents for a variety of staff members. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful team at our school.
