Back in February, Mrs. Weidenbach and Mrs. Anderson’s 3rd grade classes studied the walleye—learning about its appearance, habitat, diet, and behavior. As part of the project, students created artwork showing the walleye in its natural habitat, which they submitted to the Art of Conservation Fish Contest with Wildlife Forever.
We are excited to share that Rhett, Thomas, and Abigail all placed in the 3rd grade division for South Dakota—Rhett earned 1st place, Thomas earned 2nd place, and Abigail earned 3rd place! 🎉
The Art of Conservation contest helps connect students to nature through art, science, and conservation awareness.
