It's been a rough couple weeks for old records around here. David Olson added his name to record books last Tuesday when he tossed 141'0" in Javelin, besting the previous school record of 132'0." Way to go, David!

It's a great day for some softball! Luckily, we have a triple header for you. Elkton-Lake Benton will host Garretson and Colman-Egan tonight, with the first game beginning at 4:00pm. Game 1 is the Elks vs. Blue Dragons, Game 2 will be the Blue Dragons and Hawks, and the Elks square off with the Hawks in the nightcap. Come out and enjoy the nice weather and some great matchups!

Heads up softball players! Don't miss your chance to get signed up for this summer's camps in Elkton.

Elk Snapshot!
Mr. Erickson’s sophomore CTE class and Mrs. Anderson’s 3rd grade class teamed up again for a hands-on learning experience!
Students were challenged to design and build a tower that could withstand tornado-strength winds 🌪️. Working within a set budget, they had to carefully plan their materials and construction—once they started building, no changes or additions were allowed.
This project encouraged creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration across grade levels. It was exciting to see students thinking like engineers and learning from one another. Great work by everyone involved!

Stop us if you've heard this one recently: "A new school record for the Discus has been set!" Yesterday, at the Brace-Hopfinger Relays in Volga, Tait Boersma smashed the record of 153' 10" he set just last week by throwing 159'6." Congrats, Tait!
